Allissa is a wife, mom to two amazing kids (13 and 11), and a dedicated 5th grade teacher who loves cheering on her kids in sports and spending time in the mountains and lakes. She has proudly participated in the Save Second Base pub crawl for years to support other women—never imagining she’d one day be on the receiving end.

In April, Allissa discovered a lump and pushed for answers when her concerns were initially delayed. Her persistence led to an early diagnosis of Stage 2 HER2 triple-positive breast cancer, and she began chemotherapy within weeks. She will undergo a double mastectomy in November.

Through the support of her friends, coworkers, and community, Allissa is facing this battle with strength and hope. Her message to all women: be proactive, do self-exams, and advocate for your health—early detection saves lives.
